Salvation Army Hampers
Typically, the Grange Hill East Neighbourhood Group assists residents in need of holiday support by hosting local application sessions. In 2021, those requesting a hamper must sign up in person at a designated site. The following offers a summary of what to expect.
The Salvation Army will be offering hampers for families that qualify. Special toy hampers will be on offer for those with children.
When to Apply: Application opportunities will take place at various sites across the city. Timing and locations are still being determined, but are anticipated to occur in late November and the first two weeks of December, 2021.
- What to Bring. Identification MUST be presented for each person applying (including children). Please bring/wear a face mask.
Hamper Pick-Up/Distribution Site:
- Our neighbourhood group will plan to offer a hamper distribution and pickup location (date/time to be determined).
- Families will also have the opportunity to pick up their hampers at the Salvation Army Guelph Citadel (1320 Gordon St, Guelph). We anticipate the date for this pickup to to be December 22nd, 2021.
Need a little assistance with picking up your hamper? If you are unable to come and pick up your hamper your chosen Grange Hill East pickup site, there will be a chance to fill out a Hamper Support Request form closer to the date. You must be a resident of the neighbourhood to access this support.

In 2020, the closest application spot was the The Royal Canadian Legion, 57 Watson Parkway S. 2021 application spots have yet to be announced.
This is the closest location for registering for a hamper. It is on bus route number 4. Please double-check the list of dates/times registration is available and make sure you have identification for each family member.
