Grange Summer Camp 2026
Please note: We are currently awaiting funding for camp staff and final approval to use the school. We expect to receive confirmation in early May.
There is a small chance that camp may need to be cancelled if we are not successful in securing these. This is a process we go through each year and one of the reasons our registration opens later than most camps.
We will do everything we can to ensure camp runs as planned. However, in the unlikely event that we must cancel, all registrations will receive a full refund.
We anticipate registration will open in early April. If you would like updates on registration, follow our Facebook page or subscribe to our enews

Camp pricing and payment methods
Each session will include around 25 campers and 6 Leaders in Training (LITs) per session.
To keep camp affordable, camp will cost $160 per week ($130 for the short week in August).
How to pay:
E-Transfer
-
- Payments can be paid by e-transfer to info@gheng.ca. Payment is due is by the Friday of the week you submit your registration.
- E-transfers must include the name of your child registered and the week(s) they are registered for in the message section.
- If you have registered different siblings, it is easiest for us to process payments if you send separate e-transfers for each child.
- Payments can be paid by e-transfer to info@gheng.ca. Payment is due is by the Friday of the week you submit your registration.
Credit Card
-
- Paying via credit card or debit is also an option. Credit and debit card users are subject to an additional $5 for each week of camp registered. This will help us recoup some of our costly payment processing fee costs.
Cash (in person)
-
- Our camp staff are not equipped to handle cash. Cash payments (exact amount only) will be accepted by our Neighbourhood Support Worker from April to June. Please call to make an appointment or meet us during office hours. If you register online and wish to pay cash, please choose the “Pay by e-transfer" tab and then note “Paying with cash" in the notes section.
- Should you wish to pay via Free to Grow (subsidy), email your subsidy confirmation from the Children’s Foundation to info@gheng.ca.
Leaders in Training (12 to 15 years)
We have capacity for six leader in training positions for each week of camp. The cost is $70.00 to attend.
This year, LITs will have their own Leader and be able to participate in training activities on site.

Participants typically bring:

Sign up to learn more
Consider registering for Grange Hill East's e-newsletter. We will send out more information as soon as it is available. We will also post more information via our Facebook page.
Can I register my children in the same week even though they are in different age categories?
This year, we are hosting all ages each week. This will enable siblings/friends of different ages to join each other in camp.
What are your guidelines for independence/toileting?
Our programming is not set up to accommodate children who have regular toileting accidents (beyond the occasional, and somewhat inevitable accidents).
All children registered must be able to recognize body cues and use the bathroom/change clothing when necessary without assistance.
Children must also be able to apply sunscreen by themselves.
If the weather is favourable, once a week, camp participants walk to the Eastview Park Splashpad and back.
What does a typical day include?
A typical day includes:
-
- Outdoor field games
- Craft time
- Group activities/excursions to nearby parks
- Water play
- Breaks for snacks and lunch
- Free play
What are your cancellation guidelines?
In order to receive a refund (minus a $25 non-refundable admin fee), cancellations must be requested by May 30th.
Cancellations between June 1st and June 15th will receive a 50% refund.
Refunds will not be provided after June 16 (some exceptions will be made for sickness on a case by case basis).
Where can I find the camp package?
Here is the link to our 2025 camp information package – please read this over prior to sending your child to camp. Our 2026 package will be similar but will not be available until closer to camp.
What is your ratio of camp leaders to campers?
We have approximately 1 leader for every 8-9 campers.
